- Do not use ‘Zhangjiajie’ as if it names one hotel base. Separate Zhangjiajie city from Wulingyuan when planning arrival, park access and the final departure.
- Check official scenic-area notices, ticket arrangements and visitor-flow information close to the travel date. Mountain operations and trail comfort are more date-sensitive than a normal city day.
- Keep one weather buffer and wear shoes with dependable grip. A misty day can still be beautiful, but the plan should not depend on one viewpoint being visible.
